Du Verre die-cast aluminum hardware is elegant, cost effective and perfectly engineered to allow for easy installation and pre-drilling. Shifting their manufacturing to the technologically advanced die cast method has provided numerous advantages for their clients and the environment.
This new hardware is precision crafted from post-consumer recycled aluminum, a methodology which causes less impact on the environment. Using post consumer recycled aluminum reduces the generation of air and water pollution by 95%, requires only 5% of the energy and greenhouse gasses used in production of new metals, and helps prevent clear-cutting of tropical rainforests. Du Verre Hardware requires a minimum of care. To clean, simply dust or polish with a soft dry cloth. We recommend avoiding the use of harsh cleaners, abrasives and chemicals as these can break down the lacquer finish. Die cast aluminum pieces are durable enough for outdoor use.
This collection was designed by Goodman & Charlton. Jeffrey Goodman and Steven Charlton have been creating remarkable interiors for over a decade. With a bi-coastal design practice their signature work can be seen in such places as the Marcel Hotel in New York.

But, there are some MAJOR ISSUES to consider before ordering or installing these handsome pulls. You will find the attaching pegs on the back of the pulls are not placed evenly from the edges of the pulls. The difference is significant and driven by the asymmetrical design of the pulls.
The placement of the attaching pegs may not be such a big problem on SINGLE DOOR CABINETS, but you will find that the attaching pegs are not the same distance from the ends of the pull. This might make replacing the pulls difficult since another 4' on center pull will sit in at a different height (higher or lower).
On DOUBLE DOOR CABINETS there are two BIG ISSUES.
If you want to flip one pull to complete the asymmetric design, you will find that the attaching pegs are not in the same location on the back of the pulls. Thus, your holes would have to be different distances from the top of the door to line the pulls up visually.
If you want to install two pulls in the same direction (repeating the design) on a double door cupboard, you will find that the attaching pegs are not in the center of the pull (because of the design), so the holes have to be different distances from the edge of the cabinet in order to evenly space them.
DRAWERS present another BIG PROBLEM. While one can visually center the pulls in the drawer, because the attaching pegs are not equidistant from the ends of the pull, the holes cannot be centered on the drawer front. Good luck finding a replacement someday that also has the same asymmetry in peg placement!
While these pulls have a nice design and are well-manufactured, the buyer should be aware of the many issues they present.
